| Aug 9 (2017) Diplomat Committee Meeting August |
Purpose: Encourage membership growth, promote member services, and increase public awareness of the Chamber of Commerce’s mission and activities.
Diplomats—As a Diplomat, you will meet with members who are community leaders on a professional basis. These interactions will expand your base of contacts and help you receive increased exposure for your business. The Diplomat program helps you build relationships because you will be their connection to the Chamber. You will be helping each of them realize a return on their investment from their Chamber membership.
To be a Perry Diplomat, you make a commitment to attend monthly meetings, make member calls, mentor new members, attend Ground Breakings, Ribbon Cuttings, Business of the Month awards, Business After Hours events, and Speed Networking events as your time allows.
Program of work:
Business After Hours - This is a networking opportunity for Chamber members that takes place after 5pm. These events are held monthly excluding Apr, Nov & Dec. The October Business After Hours is sponsored jointly with the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce. Members pay a small fee to attend these events.
Speed Networking – A networking opportunity for Chamber members that takes place during different times of the business day. These events are marketed regionally. Everyone in attendance has an opportunity to give their company sales pitch to the majority of those present. Local businesses are asked to sponsor the location, food and door prizes, which will showcase their products and/or services. There is a small fee charged to attend these events. This will also be open to the general public at a slightly higher charge than the member price.

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE
Purpose: To plan, promote and service special events hosted by the chamber which create non-dues revenue, promote quality of life, and draw attention to Perry.
Chair: Dr. Stacey Carter-Fite Board Liaison: Dale Williams
Members: Mike Baker, Paul Boyer, Ashley Brown, Stacey Carter-Fite, Susan Collins, Ashley Croley, Amanda Fiebig, Felicia Kindler, Daniel Harvill, Wendy Johnson, Alyssa Madon, Becky Powell, and Dale Williams.
Staff Liaison: Bonnie Giles
Meeting Date: Meeting dates are set according to upcoming events, but are typically held at 12:30 pm on a Thursday or Friday.
Events Include: Annual Meeting each January, Dogwood Festival each April, Independence Parade & Freedom Fireworks each Independence Holiday, Business Battlefield each September, Taste of Southern each Thursday after Thanksgiving. The Special Events Committee assists in the planning, execution, and post production follow up of each event. Duties such as finding volunteers, set up and break down, assisting with sponsorships, etc. are all ways the Special Event Committee serve the Chamber. |

| Aug 25 (2017) Toad-ally Toddlers! |
| Parents, grandparents, and toddlers are invited to join us for this monthly educational program which explores different topics each month. Programs may include animal encounters, hands-on activities, crafts, songs, story time and more. Programs are designed for toddlers and incorporate many of the Georgia Early Learning Development Standards (GELDS). A parent/guardian is required to stay with the child throughout the program and encouraged to join in the fun. Programs are designed for toddlers between the ages of 1 and 4 but siblings may attend. Participants are welcome to visit and enjoy the center on their own before and after the program.
Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register, please visit www.gofisheducationcenter.com/calendar and click on the event you would like to attend. You will find the link to register in the program description. Pre-registration for upcoming programs opens one month before program. You may only register for one month at a time. You do not need to pre-register siblings who are under the age of 1 or above the age of 4.
Regular admission fees apply. Participation in the program is included with your admission fee and there is no additional fee to participate in the program. Annual passes are available for purchase.
